Because I am off for the holidays, I have two cards to post today! This first card is from the sketch challenge on SCS. They are always big fun, and I love to play them when I am out of school. This adorable House Mouse image is called Feeder Friends, and you can get it at Creative Play Stamps. I cut this image down on all sides to fit this sketch-HM stamps are BIG!! The chipboard tulips are from American Crafts. I got them on sale at Hobby Lobby. They were regularly $5.99, but I got mine for $2.40. The rest of them were marked $3.40 clear as day, I even showed 17yods the difference. I hope it wasn't dishonest to take the lower priced one! These chipboard pieces have slick pastel fronts. I turned them over and smashed them into my Bravo Burgunday pad. Then I covered them with Pink Stickles. Do you see how the Stickles took on the dark burgundy color? I do this all the time with Stickles. First, never fret if you don't have the perfect Stickles for your project! Second, buy more so that doesn't happen again!!
This card was for a color challenge on SCS. You were to use Bravo Burgundy, Handsome Hunter and So Saffron. YIKES!! I rarley work with these colors anymore, but it was fun to get them out. Of course anytime I get to use Crafty Secrets stuff, I'm having fun! This is one of CS's small sets, and it's called Believe. It comes with the angel and the word. Like I said, it's small! But it's oh, so pretty!!
Well, one of my stamping goals for 2009 is to use up some old stuff!! I did that with these cards. The HM card uses Prima paper from their very FIRST collection: Poetry. I still have some because I think it's ugly as sin. I break it out once or twice a year or so just to see if I still hate it. I DO!! I got it in a kit club, just so you don't think I actually picked it out. Why don't I throw it away? Well, then what on earth would I have to complain about? I have Jesus Christ, a DH of 20 years, three beautiful sons, a good job, a roof over my head (a SMALL roof), food on the table (too much, apparently), and all you great blogging friends!! Happy 2009!!!
