Bombshell Butterfly

If you think Bombshell Stamps is all about the pin-ups, think again. They have a wide selection of tattoo style stamps as well. This is good, because I think tats are very interesting, and some of them are very beautiful, but I am both too conservative and too chicken to get one myself! Besides, my parts aren't all exactly where they used to be, and I'm pretty sure I don't want to draw any attention to their new locations, so I play with these stamps instead! Shannon, of Bombshell, has all kinds of exciting new stamps coming out soon, and I can't wait to show them to you! When I know more details, I'll spill, you know you can count on me!

This beautiful stamp is from the set Butterfly Queen. The main image is a showgirl style babe, and there are two butterflies and some GORGEOUS wings you can put on the girl, or use in your altered art projects. I stamped the butterfly in VersaMark on watercolor paper and embossed it in SU! Detail Black, which by the way, is retired. (This is insanity on SU!'s part-I always use detail!) I will be switching to Ranger detail, and soon, because I'm almost out. I colored the butterfly with various markers, then smeared it all around with a wet brush. Yes, smearing is my method, you can't call what I do watercoloring, that would be an insult to those who actually know how to watercolor. I added a few dabs of Crystal Stickles, if I could only have one color, this would be it. We won't mention how many colors I actually do have, but Crystal is my fave. The dew drops are from Flourishes, flower is Heidi Swapp, paper is all Crafty Secrets, My Mind's Eye and SU! Of course the distressing is Chestnut Roan Chalk.
