French Bread & I GOT PUBLISHED!!!

So, I made a card today...

Featuring surprise of all surprises, Crafty Secrets Journal Notes and a Creative Cuts and More felt heart! I started out with a baby pink heart, but after a few shots of Black Cherry Glimmer Mist, this is what I had. I outlined the heart in Cotton Candy Stickles and the coolest thing happened! The Stickles soaked up the Glimmer Mist! I colored the Prima with GM also. The stamps were a secret sister gift from StampOwl AKA Frances from Australia! They are by See D's and the set is called French Fancy.

I almost forgot to mention that I have been published for the first time in the April issue of Scrap & Stamp Arts! I didn't even know about it until Lisa Sommerville emailed me congratulations. She's in there as well! I promise I will post a picture as soon as I get my copy!! Even if you aren't at all interested, I'll still post!!

SCS Featured Stamper

So, I made a card today...

This is for SCSs's Featured Stamper, which this week was StampingQueenJAR, who has a lovely gallery. We are supposed to choose a card and change at least two things about it. I Changed more, as usual, but kept with the overall western feel of Judy's card.

I used Balanced Rock and Thinking of You from Creative Play Stamps. The paper is from Hot Off The Press. I've decided that one of the reasons I like the more expensive designer papers so much isn't because they are always more beautiful, but because they are so much higher quality. I like this paper. I think it's pretty, or I wouldn't have bought it. But I bought it before I really became very knowledgeable about paper. I think HOTP is a beginner's company. Let's face it, once you've worked with the lush thickness of Crate or My Mind's Eye, and the other big ones to a lesser extent, paper the thickness of printer paper is not that impressive! It's difficult to even sponge the edges, and forget about distressing, it's nearly impossible!!

Well, the wind is blowing about 5000 miles per hour today. You think I'm engaging in a bit of hyperbole, perhaps? Fine, just come on over to the Oklahoma Panhandle. I'll prove you wrong, then we'll go play in my stamp room. No hard feelings, right?

Hugs!

We fell in love...

So, I made a card today...

This one is all about the lush, shimmery and divine Stardream cardstock. This color is Serpentine, a repulsive name for a beautiful paper. I couldn't bear to cover it up, so there's a lot of the base showing here. I added a sweet Crafty Secrets stamped image and a little CS paper, and finished it off with one of my favorite felt hearts. The cardstock and the felt heart came from Creative Cuts and More.

I hope you are having a beautiful day! We are home from church, the dryer is humming, the sprinkler is sprinkling, things are pretty good around here. I have to do about five loads of laundry & clean the kitchen, but the rest of the time, I'll be stampin'!

Hugs!

Bellarina!

So today, I made a card...

About three years ago I jumped on the Bella bandwagon. Then I got on lots of DT's. I spent the next year scrambling to meet all my DT and GuestDT goals and deadlines. I am now down to two DT's. I have been having so much fun using stamps from other companies!! I loved all the companies I designed for; however, if you get on too many DTs, and you are a wife, mother and teacher, you literally have time ONLY for the DT stuff. For about a year, I did not stamp with anything else.

I am reminded of why I loved Bella stamps. They are pretty and easy to color. I colored her with markers and Niji paints. I used Apricot Appeal as my base, and added some DCWV glitter paper, an OTC brad, and a bit of stray ribbon. This is a 10 minute card!

Sassafras Lass

Oh my word, I am so tired of apologizing for my wretched photography! One of these days perhaps I'll make the effort to learn a little more about it! The colors here are Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip and So Saffron. The sweet May Arts ribbon is from Creative Play Stamps. They are starting to carry more and more ribbon!! The stamp set is Sassafras Lass.

The embossing looks so elegant and the sparkle that it has makes it so pretty.i was also looking at some of your other cards, and I was impressed with the easter one. I like the sparkle on it.Bling is something I just started using recently and I'm already loving it all.
