Floral Slice of Cake from Shady Tree Studios

This gorgeous piece of cake is from Cornish Heritage Farms' Shady Tree Studio line. It's so pretty, I just love it! It could work for weddings, baby showers, and birthdays, of course! Here I used a generic K&Co tag, so I could use this card for any of several differnt occasions.

This is my first card here in my new house. My baby sister came on Saturday and about worked me to death getting my stamp room in order. I finally begged to go to bed around midnight, and she started in on me first thing Sunday morning!! Her attention span is longer than mine, and if it weren't for her, it would probably be another week before I got a card made! THANKS SWEETIE!!

BTW, do you like this picture with a dark background and less close cropping? I usually use a white background and crop very closely, I just felt like doing something different. Which do you like best? Don't worry, you won't hurt my feelings!

The butterfly here is from Creative Cuts and More, isn't it pretty? I ran it through the bug with my Swiss Dots folder. I love the way it turned out!

ok, so your card today rather resembles the lovely (& super-delish) carrot cake I've been DESTROYING since Friday evening, before destruction began. I'm thinking I should go get another and take a picture of it, pre-noshing, and send it to ya.

Very pretty Carla! I bet you are glad to have your stamp stuff out and organized (I can't even imaging packing up all of my art stuff!) the card is so pretty ang girlie! In answer to the photography question I think I like the light better although your cards are beautiful in any setting;)

Yeay, she's back!!! Well I have to say it's a joy to see your wonderful creations and glad you got your room unpacked - what would we do without our little sisters?!

In regards to the pic, I like your close ups but it's nice to see how the colors pop against all the black. Hope you have a great week!

I love this card~ great idea to CB the butterfly! I really like the doilee border at the bottom too. Maybe you should frame this card since it is the first one in your new room. :)

Hey sista...woo hooo...1st card in the new digs....how is it going? Nice that you had your little sister helping you out...gotta get the stamp room in order first :)

photog questions, I'm a white/cropped kind of gal but I have to agree with Carolina that the darker bg makes the colors POP.

LOL I can't believe your STAMP room did not motivate you to stay up until 1 AM and finish LOL
Your card is GORGEOUS!! I think your new desk where you can make a HUGE mess is working well LOL
As far as the pics go I think if you use light colors on the card you need the dark background. If you use dark colors on the card then use the light background. That's what I do when I have to take pics for the site!
Let's play let's make a deal. I need your help in the back yard. You know what's weeds and what's not. Will you please come help me? You can make me pull weeds until midnight while you hold the flashlight if you want. :-)[right up until I see a bug or an animal]
LOL
