So, I have this ten year old package of Handsome Hunter that I've been trying to use up. I used it as the card base on all of these cards, and I have come to the conclusion that I really don't like hunter green very much.
I automatically think of Christmas cards when I see this color. I love making Christmas cards, but I don't like this traditional color scheme as much as I like the colors we use more often these days.
This one doesn't necessarily have to be a Christmas card, it would work for any happy occasion. I also think this would work for a man. In fact, I should give it to my DH, who is upstairs trying to make the horrible leftovers from last night's disaster of a dinner into something edible. I am a terrible cook. I seem to be getting worse at it, too. I think I am so busy now that I have forgotten how to cook. Anyway, I am so happy to have a husband who likes to cook and is good at it. If it were up to me, we'd live on ice cream and Club crackers.
This one is also not a Christmas card. I got to use some scraps on the little corner piece. It's always satisfying to use up scraps.
This is my favorite of the bunch. I used a PTI stamp and die, both new to me. Then I used a SUPER old SU! set, Fantastic Foliage, plus an old technique, shaving cream! I stayed old school and added some eyelets. When was the last time you used eyelets?
